How it is calculated

Temperatures are converted through Celsius. Fahrenheit uses (F - 32) x 5/9, Kelvin uses K - 273.15, and values below absolute zero are rejected.

Common uses

  • Convert weather temperatures between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • Adapt recipes, oven settings and product notes across regions.
  • Check scientific or technical values that use Kelvin.

Quick notes

Why can Kelvin not be negative?

Kelvin starts at absolute zero. A value below 0 K would be below the physical lower limit for temperature.

Does this round the result?

Yes. The selected decimals only affect the displayed result, not the internal calculation.
